health and safety

There are certain circumstances and situations where we will not be able to work on a particular child or adult for health and safety implications as it is important for us to maintain protection to our public. We hope that you will trust our judgment knowing that we wish to ensure the protection of each and every one of our customers and also our products.

Tanya Renner Face and Body Art maintain a high standard of work with professional products and follow a strict code of practice. We will arrive at your venue ready to perform, fully equipped and insured with £5 million public liability, and Tanya Renner has a basic disclosure DBS.

The water make-up products (face paints) that we use are professional theatre make-up which contain an anti-bacterial agent that helps to prohibit the multiplication of micro-orgaisms. All products are EU and FDA compliant and approved for use on the skin. As with any cosmetic product, we cannot guarantee a reaction will not occur. If unsure, please ask for a patch test prior to being painted. We also uphold the policy of using a fresh sponge per person. Brushes are rinsed in clean water and brush bath solution between each client. All equipment used is kept clean and sanitary, and cleaned after each booking.

It is our policy to paint children over the age of 3 years. Some of the products state not to be used on under threes, so we abide by the manufacturers guidelines on the face. However, discretion will be used and the child may be offered something to be painted on their arm as an alternative. We will not paint anything we deem to be rude or offensive.
